What exactly is punk music?
Punk as we know it today mean bands like My Chemical Romance, Monty Are I or Green Day. However, these are very different from the original punk bands.
Punk originated in the UK, with bands like the Sex Pistols and The Damned and the US, with the Ramones and Richard Hell and The Voidoids. These bands are very different in style to the ones I first mentioned. So what's happened to punk?
Well, personally, I think that as times moved on from the 70s, musical styles changed and became warped to becaome today's 'punk' (I call it Neo-Punk, but there's no proper name for it).
